We devoted an extended period of time, not to mention great reserves of energy and perseverance, to create this wonderful box. We wanted (and needed) a box of suitable size to store some of our hand tools, namely our growing collection of planes. We found plans for a box that seemed like it would fit the bill and set about selecting the woods to make it. It was the one and only time we have ever worked from a plan, and it will likely be the last.
